West Ham supporters will appreciate Kevin Nolan’s verdict on Tottenham’s managerial search over the international break.
Spurs parted ways with interim manager Igor Tudor on Sunday and have already been linked with many potential replacements.
Former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi is the leading candidate to take over in North London, two months after leaving Marseille.
While Hammers fans may be worried that De Zerbi will inspire the Spurs players, Nolan is not convinced by the appointment.
How worried should we be about De Zerbi joining Tottenham? 😟

Roberto De Zerbi to Tottenham could spell good news for West Ham
De Zerbi initially declined to join Tottenham before the end of the season, but they appear to have turned his head by offering more money.
A Premier League-proven manager with a fiery personality, many believe De Zerbi could be the man to lead Spurs to safety.
However, ex-West Ham playmaker Nolan described it as a “desperate” move that “feels a bit strange.”

“What worries me about this is he’s already said no, and he doesn’t want to do it,” he said on talkSPORT. “By throwing more money at him, why should that change his mind?
“If he thought that he had an opportunity to go in, keep them up, and build on that, it would have been done.
“And I think it would have been done last time as well because he was out of a job when Igor Tudor got the job. So yeah, it feels a bit strange.”
Nolan cannot understand why Spurs have not asked their Europa League-winning manager, Ange Postecoglou, to return instead.

“If you’re going to throw money at him, why wouldn’t you just do it for Ange and say, ‘We’ll give you until the end of the season, and we’ll give you a bonus to stay up.’ It feels like a really strange one and a bit desperate.”
Nolan’s verdict should give West Ham fans some encouragement that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will still get over the line.
After all, the issues at Tottenham run much deeper than the head coach, and there is no guarantee that De Zerbi will fix anything.
