Liverpool have been handed a timely boost ahead of their Champions League quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain, with reports indicating Alexander Isak is expected to return to training this week.
After an extended spell out, the striker now appears to be closing in on a comeback. That update will be welcome news to Liverpool fans, especially with the biggest stage of the season now in view.
Arne Slot has already suggested PSG is the target for Isak’s return, even if his minutes may need to be managed carefully at first.

Paul Joyce provides updates on Alexander Isak and Mohamed Salah
Liverpool were hit with a plethora of attacking injuries in March, but it seems like the pieces are now coming together for a full-strength side as we enter the business end of the season.
Joyce reported on Isak and Mo Salah in a Liverpool update for The Times. He claims Liverpool expect Isak on the grass before the weekend’s FA Cup clash against Man City.

After a hectic week for Salah, he is expected to be fit for that cup tie, so it should be a full ensemble in the forward areas.
How Slot chooses to break Isak back in, and how he decides to rest and rotate, will be a point to note. Counting down the days until a return to Liverpool action.
