Fulham transfer update regarding Everton and Leeds United target Harry Wilson ahead this summer

Journalist Pete O’Rourke has shared this update regarding Wilson’s future at Fulham amid Everton and Leeds’ interest: “Harry Wilson looks like he will be leaving Fulham on a free transfer this summer. He’s weighing up his options ahead of the summer as a free agent, and he’ll have the pick of a number of clubs because he’s had such an outstanding season.

“He’s in the best form of his career right now which has come at a good time for him. We know Leeds are long-term admirers of the Welshman and came close to signing him in previous transfer windows. It will be difficult for them to try and win the race for his signature in the summer because you’ve got a lot of interest from other Premier League clubs as well.”

He added: “Everton are one of the clubs leading the hunt right now, it’s a real hard one to do for Leeds. If Leeds do not secure Premier League survival they would have no chance of signing someone like Harry Wilson because he’ll want to continue playing at the highest level possible.”

Wilson, 29, has a big decision to make on what to do next ahead of the next campaign. He has been in fine form for Fulham this term and may fancy his chances of a big move. The winger has made 29 league appearances and has chipped in with 10 goals and six assists.

The Wales international, who has 68 caps to his name, joined the Whites in 2021 on an initial loan deal before his switch was later made permanent. He rose up through Liverpool’s academy and was loaned out to Crewe Alexandra, Hull City, Derby County, AFC Bournemouth and Cardiff City to get some experience under his belt. The Wrexham-born man then moved down to London and hasn’t looked back since.
