Beaten by two really well taken goals but very little else to do. Distribution was a little iffy but was very positive when the visitors had a set piece.
Set up the first goal with an excellent overlap and cross to Felix Scott, had his winger in check down the right and used the ball well too.
Made a great first half block on the line to prevent a goal and then just missed getting one himself when he toe poked just wide from a corner.
Really solid alongside Holcroft at the back, showed good reading of the game to nip in front of his man to block dangerous crosses.
Had a really difficult time in the first half with Osho overlapping past him constantly, although he did cope better after the break.
Missed a bit of a sitter after the break when Scott picked him out unmarked in the box and didn’t have a great game on the ball, often making the wrong decision.
Struggled a bit to get into the game for long periods but still created some good chances. Got an assists after good play down the right, then picking out Scott to make it 2-2 but also put a good cross in during the first half that Scott headed just wide.
Couldn’t make an impression today, hit the outside of the post from a free kick but very little from open play.
At fault for the second goal, when he lost the ball cheaply and didn’t track back quickly enough and struggled to impose himself on the game.
Scored two well taken goals, running in from the left wing to get on the end of crosses, almost made it a hattrick from the same position but headed just over, also set up a chance that Jaydon Jones should have scored from. Unfortunately spoilt his game with a dangerous tackle just after a lung-bursting run up the pitch.
Some nice bits of play here and there but didn’t look comfortable playing as a number 9, worked hard off the ball but his best bit of attacking play ended up in a wild shot from 45 yards out when he should have played in Dinsdale instead.
Helped us see out the game following Scott’s red card.
A late change and gave us an option on the break.
Man of the Match: Jenson Jones
Felix Scott may have got man of the match without his crazy two-footed tackle on a Reading player but Jones did well at right back throughout the game, was comfortable defensively and often showed composure his teammates were lacking when he was bringing the ball out. Got up the line well to get an assist too, after his good cross found Scott at the back post and was also involved in the second, as it was his ball over the top to Dinsdale.
