Amir Hadziahmetovic says he's not yet thought about what his future looks like beyond the end of the current season, with Hull City pushing for a place in the Premier League.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina midfielder is on loan at the MKM Stadium from Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig, where he has a contract until June 2027.

As it stands, the 29-year-old would return to Vodafone Park this summer and continue his career in Istanbul, but says for now, his primary focus is on the final seven games, potentially 10 should City secure a place in the play-off final.

Given City remain in the thick of the promotion race, and a genuine possibility they could be playing in the Premier League next season, what happens with their loan players remains up in the air.

"Honestly, I don't think about it. In football, anything can happen. I can be in Turkey, maybe I can be in England, I can be here," the Danish-born midfielder told Hull Live. "You never know, so we'll see at the end of the season, but I just want to have a good end of the season. Hopefully successful, and then we'll see.

"As I said, honestly, I'm just thinking to end the season as good as possible., I didn't even think about anything else afterwards, so I can't say anything now, but we'll see."

Hadziahmetovic has gradually grown into life in the Championship, and has become a pivotal performer this term under Sergej Jakirovic, and he admits it's not all been plain sailing, though he has relished the challenge in adapting to life in England compared with Turkey.

"The biggest difference is the style of football, I would say," he continued. "Here, there's not much risk in playing from behind, so many long balls, many duels. In Turkey, most of the teams try to play football; they try to play from the back. This is the biggest difference.

"Of course, this is my first season in England, so I've had some tough moments. I've had some good moments. I had to adapt to the style of play; mostly, that's what was the most difficult thing for me, but I think I've done really well in the last few weeks, together with the team. Everything is interesting for me, especially us playing for the play-off position, so it's really interesting. I feel very good here.

"I knew that the league was like this. It was a challenge for me, and that's why I also wanted to come to see it, but it is what they say it is. I now see what the people told me, that it is like this. It's not an easy league."

Like many players coming from abroad, it can be difficult settling into a new culture and way of life, but having Ivor Pandur, along with Sergej Jakirovic and some members of his coaching staff speaking the same language, has made that transition a little easier.

"For me, it was very easy (to settle in). I think I'm an easygoing person, so I don't have any problems being anywhere. I'm settling in very well anywhere, so it was really easy, and I'm really enjoying it here.

"I had Ivor (Pandur), who I can speak with in my language. I have the coaches; we speak the same language, so this is an easy thing for me. It helps with the small details of the footballing things when they say it in my language, our language. And it's much easier for them probably to express themselves, to say what they want from me."
