Burnley’s defeat at Fulham might have been the final nail in their coffin according to Clarets favourite Glen Little.Read MoreHow many games Burnley's Josh Laurent will miss following Fulham red cardThe BBC Radio Lancashire summariser has refused to lose faith with the Clarets for much of the season, despite relegation appearing inevitable for some time now.“It’s one that got away again,” the former Clarets winger told the Burnley Express.“I actually thought at half-time it was an even game. It was a bit back and forth. But then I don't know what happened at half-time, whether Fulham had a bit of a rocket or if the manager wasn't too happy with them. I don’t know whether we were worse, they were better or probably a bit of both. But then it looked to me like there was only going to be one winner.“But then we score with pretty much the only attack we had – a good goal, worked it well and a good finish from [Zian] Flemming – and you’re thinking there might be a bit of hope there. It was game over at that point and the sending off [for Josh Laurent] didn’t really matter, the game was done by then.“Even draws aren't enough, are they? You've got to win games. I did say before the game, I felt the three games against Fulham, Brighton and Nottingham Forest are all winnable on paper, but how often have we said that this season? But I was thinking: ‘let’s see how we get on’.“But now I'm even thinking: ‘I've stayed with us as long as possible’, but now I think that's it.“I know a lot of people realistically have given up a long time ago, but while there's those games to play, you’ve always got hope as long as you’re able to win a couple of games.“But the Fulham game just summed up the season. It was another winnable game. You’re there, you’re involved in it, there’s an opportunity there, but even when Burnley score they concede too many and they can’t keep a clean sheet, so that’s where they are.”Continue Reading
