Mohamed Salah’s future beyond the summer of 2026 still remains up in the air after his Liverpool exit was confirmed.
Salah will leave Anfield for free after the 2025/26 season comes to a close despite his contract running until 2027.
The lack of a transfer fee could make the 33-year-old a more appealing option to some clubs, and two new names have been mooted as potential destinations in the form of Liverpool’s upcoming Champions League opponents, PSG, and Bayern Munich. However, the German outfit’s interest has since been quashed.

Bayern Munich chief denies Mohamed Salah offer
As quoted by Ismael Mahmoud on X/Twitter, Ibrahim Hassan, the Egypt national team director, urged Salah to stay in Europe rather than moving to somewhere like the MLS.
He made comparisons to Lionel Messi, who is now on the books of North American outfit Inter Miami.
Hassan suggested that nobody remembers Messi now, and a move to somewhere like PSG or Bayern Munich would be his preference for the Liverpool winger.
He said: “I hear about offers for Mohamed Salah from Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and also from Italy.

“I would prefer him to move there if those offers are real. I’m not convinced by the idea of going to the MLS. If he goes there, we won’t remember Salah, just like we don’t really remember Messi now.”
However, Ismael Mahmoud then shared a further update from Bayern Munich chief Max Eberl, who has denied the news.
The journalist stated: “Eberl denied the news received by Ibrahim Hassan, explaining in private statements to Winwin about the fact that the Bavarian giant is interested in signing the player and entering it into the club’s plans for next season:
“No, Mohamed Salah did not receive any offer from Bayern Munich.”
In turn, exactly where Salah could end up this summer still seems pretty up in the air.
PSG could probably be one of the few teams in Europe that could both afford and would be willing to pay the forward’s wages.
However, they already have a number of top wingers on their books, including two on Liverpool’s shortlist to replace Salah.
