Lisandro Martinez is expected to be part of the Manchester United squad that travels to Dublin for a training camp next week, with the centre-back setting his sights on a return to action against Leeds.

Martinez has missed five games with a calf injury and last played in the draw with West Ham on February 10, but he is seeking to prove his fitness ahead of the Old Trafford fixture with Daniel Farke's side on Monday, April 13.

The 28-year-old is set to be in the squad that travels to Ireland on Monday for a four-day "intensive" training camp, and if he comes through it unscathed, Martinez could return to the team against Leeds, with Harry Maguire suspended after being sent off against Bournemouth.

Martinez was only expected to be out for a week or so after suffering a calf injury in training, but a minor setback has delayed his return to action. With Maguire banned for one game, the Argentine has a route back into the team.

But the Leeds fixture will be too soon for Patrick Dorgu, who is deep into his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury picked up in the win at Arsenal just over two months ago.

The 21-year-old has been doing fitness work in the gym at Carrington and has done some light running on grass, but he remains short of a return to full training. He is still expected to play again before the end of the season.

United's international players will be granted a few days off towards the end of this week, rather than being required to rush back to Carrington ahead of a fixture, as is usually the case.

Instead, the squad will regroup over the weekend before flying to Dublin on Monday to step up preparations for their return to action after a 24-day gap between the draw at Bournemouth and the game with Leeds.
