Derby County have seven games of the season remaining as they attempt to gatecrash the top six of the Championship and have a shot at winning promotion to the Premier League.
Under the guidance of John Eustace, the Rams have engineered themselves into a terrific position for the season's finale owed to fabulous performances throughout the course of the season.
Patrick Agyemang and Carlton Morris have both contributed 10 goals this season while Rhian Brewster has also scored seven times.
There have also been some excellent defensive contributions as Derby have gone from battling relegation to chasing the play-offs in the space of 12 months..
Here Leigh Curtis gives his player ratings for the season so far.
Jacob Widell Zetterstrom
The Swedish goalkeeper had been enjoying a fine campaign until a virus struck which forced him to pull out of the warm-up in the win at Charlton. He did briefly return for the draw against West Brom, but was still suffering from his illness and has not played since. That was unfortunate as he had firmly established himself as the club's number one and had also made his competitive Sweden debut. 7
Josh Vickers
Derby have been incredibly fortunate to boast a strong goalkeeping department and Vickers has been excellent when called upon in the absence of Zetterstrom. Signed a new three-year contract in January which underlined how highly he is thought of. Has never let the team down but unfortunately suffered a groin injury against Millwall and was ruled out for six to eight weeks. 7
Richard O'Donnell
The former Bristol City and Bradford goalkeeper is now last man standing out of the senior goalkeepers, but his experience and his quality have shone in the handful of games he has played. He will be handed the number one jersey for a few more weeks yet, but when he has stepped into the breach he has been an incredibly safe pair of hands. 7
Joe Ward
Turned his Derby career on its head when there were murmurs and speculation suggesting he was a contender to leave the club last summer. But after Max Johnston picked up an injury, he has been in tremendous form and is one of the leading creators in the league given his quality of delivery. Will face stiff competition from Johnston who is close to a return but Ward's contribution this season has been vitally important. 8
Max Johnston
Has endured a very frustrating campaign owed to a hamstring injury he picked up against QPR in October. The Scotland international was in good form too when injury struck and it was bad enough to rule him out until after the New Year. And when he was just about to return, he endured a problem with his calf. He is expected to make a comeback after the international break. Will be eager to pick up where he left off. 5
Sondre Langas
Has not played since the West Brom draw because of a hamstring injury picked up in that game. Is closing in on making a return, but has established himself as first-choice with the Norway international hoping for a strong end to the campaign in order to make their World Cup squad. Blessed with good pace and not afraid to put his body on the line, when he has played, he's usually been excellent. 7
Dion Sanderson
For the money that Derby paid for him, and it was just a six-figure sum, the club has certainly received bang for their buck. Perhaps never going to be first-choice when everybody is fit but is a vastly experienced Championship campaigner. Hit some great form earlier in the season after a tough start owed to the fact that he did not have a pre-season. But came through it and has done well. 7
Matt Clarke
Had a fantastic season and is arguably the favourite to land the player of the season award. Consistently delivers 7/10 performances and has been one of the standout performers in terms of his reliability. May not be the quickest, but his reading of the game is exceptional. There is reason why he is dubbed 'Baldini' by the fans. 9
Danny Batth
Hasn't played many games and was brought to the club because of his experience. Was excellent in a 1-1 draw at Birmingham over Christmas and when he has been thrust into the team, you can see how his experience of the division has been such an important asset. 6
Callum Elder
The Australian is one of the surviving members of the League One promotion-winning team and has largely been first choice for much of the season up although there have been a couple of niggling injuries along the way. Has been a trusted performer but is currently recovering from minor knee surgery. Done well, but faces a huge battle to dislodge Derry Murkin. 7
Derry Murkin
The £1.7m signing from Utrect in January has been outstanding since his arrival and has already registered three assists since his move. Blessed with a lovely left foot, the defender is also developing his one v one defending under Eustace in which there has been obvious improvement. There's been lots of appreciation from the fans already and you can see him becoming a firm favourite on the terraces. 8
Craig Forsyth
In the twilight years of his career, but continues to defy old Father Time. Has played 17 games this season and when he has been drafted in, his experience has told and scored in the 4-2 win over Hull City back in February. Continues to be somebody you can rely on. 6
Lewis Travis
The captain had to sit out a chunk of the season owed to a calf injury he picked up in October and you sense there is a lot more to come from the skipper who arrived from Blackburn last summer. Was excellent against Birmingham before the international break, but does have a tendency to make a couple rash decisions as personified with his red card against Ipswich and a mistake which led to a goal against his former club Blackburn. 6
David Ozoh
The on-loan Crystal Palace midfielder has also missed a chunk of the season after he picked up an injury in the win at Blackburn earlier in the season. Possesses undeniable quality, but has been used as a sub in four of the last five games. Just needs to find consistency because there's no doubt he has all the physical attributes. 6
Bobby Clark
Whether he has been deployed on the wing, as a number 10 or even in a role as a number six, Clark has added a great deal of energy wherever John Eustace has felt fit to play him. Always wants to play forward, works hard off the ball, which having been at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp, would have been a critical part of his education. Fans would love for him to sign permanently. 8
Liam Thompson
The academy graduate has more often than not been on the bench and just as he did in the League One promotion campaign, he always gives you high energy. There's still improvements he can make in possession as he tends to be safety first, but he's done okay. 6
Oscar Fraulo
Signed in January from Borussia Monchengladbach, Fraulo has impressed when coming on as a substitute, but Derby will know it will take him some time to get accustomed to the rigours of the league. But when he has played he's looked bright and with a full pre-season behind this summer, could be a key player next term. 6
Owen Eames
Was so close to scoring in a late cameo at Bristol City and there is a lot to like about the midfielder who shows very little fear in the glimpses we have seen of him so far. Seems unfair to judge him on the back of a couple of appearances. N/A
Jaydon Banel
The on-loan Burnley winger has looked a threat when he has been introduced as a substitute and it's only the form of others that is perhaps stopping him from having an extended run in the team. Has pace, a trick and could be a handy asset to have in the final stages of the season. 6
Patrick Agyemang
The American striker had to wait to introduce himself to Derby fans following his move from Charlotte FC last summer owed to a hernia operation. But the striker has rapidly become a key member of the squad and has delivered a string of exciting performances. Has recorded 10 goals this season and registered three assists. There is much more to come from him too. 8
Ben Brereton Diaz
Can never fault his work-rate and always seems to leave everything out on the pitch. Has scored some cracking goals this season and could have had a few more too. Fans have grown to love him which has spawned a unique chant among the supporters in the South Stand. Looks to be a manager's dream given his attitude to the game. 7
Rhian Brewster
Has played as a 10, a centre-forward and a winger this season and has contributed seven goals this season, which is not a bad return from the ex-Liverpool forward who you sense will add more to his tally before the end of the season. Technically very good. 7
Lars Jorgen-Salvesen
Has been out of action recently owed to a muscle injury and clearly a popular member of the dressing room. It will be interesting to see where he sits in the club's long term plans. Has contributed a couple of goals this season, but it will be hard for him to dislodge the established order at the top end of the pitch. 5
Sam Szmodics
The on-loan Ipswich forward took a couple of games to get into gear, but ominously for the rest of the league, he's just started to really feel at home. Scored a terrific goal against Portsmouth which proved to be the winner in a tight game at Fratton Park. 6
Carlton Morris
Started the season superbly and raced to 10 goals before an injury against Watford stopped his momentum and ruled him out for the season for three months. Had he been available, there's no dispute that he would have probably led the Championship goalscoring charts. Been an excellent signing who leads the line magnificently. 8
Corey Blackett-Taylor
Had a hugely impressive pre-season and threatened to start the season really well when he created a goal for Carlton Morris in an opening-day defeat at Stoke. But he came off with an injury in that game and didn't return until October. Was sent out on loan to Bolton in January, but season has ended due to a thigh problem. 3
Ryan Nyambe
Was always going to be hard for him to consistently hold down a place in Eustace's first team after the signing of Johnston and with Ward also excelling at right-back. Was not really a surprise to see him sent out on loan in January to Reading where he is trying to help them reach the play-offs. 3
Kayden Jackson
After the influx of signings last summer, and with Derby continually evolving their squad, Jackson was moved on in January to Bradford City on a permanent deal. Couldn't fault his attitude but couldn't quite deliver in the final third where attacking players are often judged. 4
Ebou Adams
Will always be a part of Derby folklore after his contribution to the promotion-winning season and then helping the club stay up last term. But you always felt that the club wanted a more technically accomplished midfielder as it tries to evolve. Played in the first half of the season but was then sold to Portsmouth in the January window. 5
