As The Friedkin Group look to squeeze every last penny out of their new stadium, not selling the fixture out will come as a real blow.

Everton fail to sell out Scotland vs Ivory Coast friendly
Scotland manager Steve Clarke has been really impressed by Everton’s new stadium and is anticipating a huge atmosphere on Merseyside.
Everton’s game with Man City has been rescheduled for Monday 4th May – it will be the club’s seventh Monday game of the season!

However, it is looking increasingly unlikely that his side will be playing in front of a sell-out crowd.

In some sections of the stadium, 14% of the tickets remain unsold, with rows of seats left empty.

Ahead of Tuesday night’s game, Everton have been advertising general sale tickets for the friendly game between Scotland and the Ivory Coast.
Although it must be noted that the blame does not lie with Everton fans for not attending, it will not make good reading for the Friedkins.
The Friedkins hit by blow as Hill Dickinson Stadium tickets remain unsold
There are two ways of looking at this. The first will obviously be through the lost revenue from not selling the tickets.
Adult tickets are being sold at around £27 and concessions in the region of £16.
Considerable revenue is being left on the table, with thousands of tickets still unsold just hours before the game.
However, the potential revenue missed from those empty seats not translating into food and beverage sales also has to be considered.
Everton have put together a special food menu for Scotland vs Ivory Coast, which will be expected to be a hit with the fans attending the game.
The Friedkins have also demonstrated how lucrative food and drink sales are to Everton as they have opened their bars for some away games this season.
So, missing out on potential sales on a matchday will prove a big blow for the Everton owners.
