Everton, Aston Villa and Bournemouth given red carpet to sign wing-back

Luis Henrique

Inter Milan wing-back Luis Henrique’s situation has been uncertain for months. Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Everton can have a shot at the Brazilian once again.

In January, Sport Witness covered claims about interest from the three clubs, who had made initial contact for the former Marseille player.

The Nerazzurri were open to a sale, having identified Ivan Perisic as a target. They also pursued a deal for Moussa Diaby but failed, leading to Luis Henrique staying at the San Siro.

The versatile winger’s situation is still very uncertain, with Inter giving hope to Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Everton.

Premature end to Luis Henrique’s Inter career

Today’s Corriere dello Sport looks at possible exits from Inter in the summer. Denzel Dumfries is pushing for a transfer, with Carlos Augusto’s situation also up in the air. Most prominently, it is Luis Henrique who can depart after failing to impress under Cristian Chivu.

They believe that doors will be open for clubs like Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Everton in the summer. Premier League clubs made approaches in January, with the Cherries specifically putting forward as much as €25m.

That fee can prove enough at the end of the season, as it will allow Inter enough funds to sign Marco Palestra.

This is making the Serie A leaders consider parting ways with the wing-back, with Diaby also still a target.

Luis Henrique can be an asset in England

During his time at Marseille, the 24-year-old was seen as a reliable and hardworking winger option on the right. His workrate and ability to cover ground was a main strength. That has been visible at Inter but his weaknesses around the final ball have also been exposed in Italy.

In England, his work-ethic can appeal to the likes of Everton, Aston Villa and Bournemouth.

The Cherries have a player like Alex Jimenez in the side and Luis Henrique is quite similar. Unai Emery has always been a fan of players who are a threat during counter-attacking moments, with Luis Henrique fitting the bill.

He is also at a very good age, with the Toffees having first attempted to sign him back in 2024.
