Tottenham fans could get their first glimpse of Mason Melia this weekend.

The Ireland Under-21 striker is in line for a first appearance in a Spurs jersey when the Under-21s take on West Ham in the Premier League 2.

Melia has stepped up to full training at Spurs, reports Football.London, after a couple of fitness set-backs.

He joined the Premier League side in January - almost a year after agreeing a League of Ireland record €1.9million transfer from St Patrick’s Athletic.

Melia played through the pain barrier towards the end of the 2025 season with the Saints, as he battled through a back injury to finish top scorer for the Inchicore side.

Spurs medics decided to rest him so that the problem would clear up completely, and just as he was set to return to training he picked up a chest infection.

Melia has signed a five-year deal with the north London side in a move that could yet earn St Pat’s over €3million if several performance clauses are met.

The 18-year-old scored 25 goals in 98 games for Pat’s, while he has netted three goals in six Ireland Under-21 appearances to date.
