A handful of PNE players went away with their nations over the break
Milutin Osmajic added two more goals to his Montenegro tally on Tuesday night.
The Preston North End striker was on target in last Friday’s 2-0 win at home to Andorra. Four days later, in another pre-season friendly, the front man was in the goals once again. Osmajic broke the deadlock versus Slovenia with a header from a corner, before firing his county back ahead just before the break.
Montenegro, who have not qualified for this summer’s World Cup, were unable to go on and triumph, though. Slovenia equalised just two minutes into the second half and hit the front just before the hour. Fellow PNE man, Andrija Vukcevic, played 26 minutes against Andorra and the full game on Tuesday evening.
Elsewhere on the international scene, Thierry Small was an unused substitute again as England U21s beat Moldova, 4-1, in Norwich. Daniel Jebbison played half-an-hour for Canada in their goalless draw with Tunisia, having played 26 minutes against Iceland last week. Ali McCann and Robbie Brady, as reported, played no part this week for Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland, respectively.
