Ex-Blackpool head coach Steve Bruce has been back on the training pitch this week.
Former Blackpool boss Steve Bruce reunited with a familiar figure this week - as he joined Steve Agnew to watch a training session at Salford City.
The pair have worked together at several clubs in the past, including Aston Villa, Sheffield Wednesday and West Brom.
Their most recent link-up came at Bloomfield Road, with Bruce in charge of the Seasiders for just over a year after being appointed in September 2024.
Despite enjoying a promising start to life on the Fylde Coast, things quickly fell apart at the start of the current campaign, with a slow start to the season costing the 65-year-old his job.
The experienced coach hasn’t returned to the dugout since, but Agnew has been back in work since February, joining Karl Robinson’s at Salford - whose backroom staff also includes Alex Bruce.
Blackpool’s former boss joined his ex-assistant and his son at one The Ammies’ training sessions earlier this week.
In a video shared by the League Two club, Bruce said: “Nothing’s changed here by the way. It’s cold; blows away the cob webs I suppose. (I was last here) about 30 years ago, I don’t think I’ve been back.”
Since the conclusion of his stint at Bloomfield Road, Bruce hasn’t been back in the dugout, and has instead taken on radio roles, which could perhaps suggest the conclusion of his managerial career, having been out of the game for almost two years prior to taking over the Seasiders job.
