Leeds United have again been credited with interest in AZ Alkmaar hotshot Troy Parrott.
The forward left Tottenham Hotspur in 2024 having managed just four appearances for the club at first-team level.
Loan spells at Millwall, Ipswich Town, Milton Keynes Dons, Preston North End and Excelsior had been sanctioned but all failed to convince Spurs of his readiness for regular football.
He linked up with Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar and has become a sensation in the Eredivisie. This season, the marksman has netted 28 goals across 41 appearances in all club competitions.

Troy Parrott linked with Leeds United
Former Manchester United scout Mick Brown has claimed Leeds want to bolster their frontline and have been keeping an eye on Parrott’s stunning ascent.
He told Football Insider: “Troy Parrott deserves a lot of praise for what he’s done with his career. It was a brave move to leave Tottenham and the Premier League, to go to Europe and focus on developing his game and becoming a better player.
“Now he’s proving himself as a top player not just for his club but on the international stage as well, and that always attracts interest from Premier League clubs.

“Every club in the Premier League will have scouts over in the Netherlands keeping an eye on the talent there, and he’s certainly going to be on their radar.
“Leeds, for example, are in desperate need of a striker and have been keeping tabs on him. They want somebody to compete with Calvert-Lewin or to play alongside him.
“If there’s any indication that Parrott could be available this summer, I’d expect them to be all over it, because it looks like he’s ready for a move to the Premier League.”
International exploits
Parrott is a senior Republic of Ireland international with 35 caps on his CV.
Last week, he registered the 11th goal of his senior international career in a World Cup qualifying play-off defeat to the Czech Republic.
