With April now upon us and the games running out in the Premier League, the rumour mill has already started turning with one eye on the summer and a host of potential deals.

For their part, Leeds United will first focus on cementing their place in the top flight before thinking about what the squad will look like next season. Many clubs have started firming up their plans, with one Englishman in particular being named in plenty of despatches.

Charlie Creswell has made a big impression since leaving Leeds United for Toulouse in the summer of 2024. Cresswell took a brave decision to leave Leeds after barely featuring under Daniel Farke as the club missed out on automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Playing just five league games and two league cup matches, Cresswell headed to France in search of game time and to build a career, which he has done in some style. He's made such an impact in Ligue 1 that now a host of Premier League clubs are being linked with a bid for him this summer.

Manchester United are said to be leading that chase according to TeamTalk, with the club identifying the young centre-back as a replacement for Harry Maguire. Man Utd are not the only club with an interest, with reports relegation-threatened West Ham United, Newcastle United, Brighton and Hove Albion, and Crystal Palace also interested.

Man Utd were also this week linked with a possible bid for Leeds defender Pascal Struijk as the club explore their options.
