Leeds United return to action this week after the international break. A number of players have been representing their countries with mixed results.
The biggest stories around the club involved Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Anton Stach. The duo were called up to their respective national teams, with chances of making the World Cup squad down the line. Stach was given a few minutes off the bench for Germany, while Calvert-Lewin saw over 30 minutes against Uruguay on Friday.

The striker was allowed to leave camp and return to Elland Road as Tuchel pointed out that some players needed a rest. A potential place at the World Cup could still be possible as England struggled to score in their defeat to Japan.
Leeds United star impresses during international break
One Leeds United player that will be buzzing after this international break is Karl Darlow. In his two games over the break, he has been arguably the standout player on the pitch. He made four crucial saves against Bosnie, and on Tuesday night, he made three saves in the draw against Northern Ireland. This includes a stunning save to deny what looked like a certain goal in the second half.
Darlow’s performances over the last week have caught the eye of many. He has a strong case of getting a huge new contract in the summer; whether it will be from Leeds United is a different story. The 35-year old has months left on his contract, and the Whites are yet to make an offer.

Lucas Perri could be out of the door this summer
Karl Darlow has now taken over the first choice spot in the team since January. Daniel Farke was frustrated with the mistakes Lucas Perri made at the end of last year. It was the final straw for the Brazilian, who had a decent start to the campaign. And since Darlow went in goal, the team have been marginally better in defence. He continues to perform at a great level, and Premier League clubs will definitely have an eye on him.
On the other side, Lucas Perri’s future could now be in serious trouble. He has lost Farke’s faith very early in his Leeds career, and now there are question marks over his future. Being an expensive signing, there is every likelihood that he is around next season, but stranger things have happened at Elland Road over the years.
