“I think we’d definitely be good enough, and especially if we’ve got Europe this summer, they’ll bring more quality players in. We could definitely give that a good go, yeah.”

Securing Europe for next season could be a game-changer for the Toffees.

Last summer, Lyon winger Malick Fofana rejected Everton’s interest as he wanted to sign for a club who could offer him European football.

With this in mind, playing Europa League football could open new doors for Everton in the transfer window.

Everton will need to bolster the quality of their squad if they are to be competing across four competitions next season.

European qualification could unlock greater spending power for Everton, which would also help them to flex their muscles in this summer’s transfer window.
