Carmarthen Town have confirmed that manager Mark Aizlewood will step down at the end of the 2025/26 campaign, bringing an end to his second spell in charge at Richmond Park.
The Old Gold currently sit fifth in the JD Cymru South table, with a fifth or sixth-place finish still within reach as the season approaches its conclusion. His last game in charge will be against Treowen Stars on April 18.
Aizlewood, a former Leeds United defender, has overseen more than 100 matches during his second tenure at the club. Across that period, he has guided Carmarthen Town to fourth, sixth and seventh-place finishes, helping to stabilise and strengthen the side in the Welsh second tier.
The 66-year-old had initially planned to leave his role at the end of last season but opted to remain in charge for one final campaign.
Assistant manager Rhodri Thomas is set to succeed Aizlewood, marking a new chapter for the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Aizlewood’s departure signals a notable change for Carmarthen Town, as they look to build a squad capable of sealing a return to the Cymru Premier, following their relegation in 2020.
