Manchester United could face competition from Real Madrid for Sandro Tonali’s signature but that could give Ineos a chance to raid the Spanish giants.
Reports suggest that Sandro Tonali is a priority for Manchester United this summer with Newcastle United open to selling the Italian if a big bid arrives this summer.
But Manchester City and Arsenal have shown interest in Tonali and Real Madrid have also entered the race, so Ineos have their work cut out for them.
According to TeamTalk, Tonali’s agent and camp have contacted Madrid as well as several other clubs around Europe to sound out a summer move.
While that complicates a deal for United, it could also open an interesting door to two alternative targets…

Tonali to Real Madrid opens door for Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni
In March, reports claimed United are interested in Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni as Real Madrid are also preparing for a summer midfield overhaul.
Madrid want over £43m for Camavinga and it seems Camavinga is prepared to leave Madrid, meaning he could be a more realistic signing than Tchouameni.

If Madrid do choose to make a move for Tonali, Newcastle are expected to demand around £100 million for his signature, so the Spanish giants will likely be open to making sales to raise funds.
Madrid’s big-money move for Tonali could therefore pave the way for United to move for either Eduardo Camavinga or Aurelien Tchouameni this summer.

Eduardo Camavinga should be high on Man Utd’s wishlist
If Camavinga is available on a bargain deal this summer, United should be all over it.
Camavinga could follow the same pathway as Casemiro by making the move from Madrid to Manchester, but this time he still has his prime years ahead of him.
At 23 years old, Camavinga – as well as Tchouameni – has already won the Champions League with Madrid, meaning he would come to Old Trafford with experience and a winning mentality.

Camavinga’s versatility also makes him a perfect signing for Ineos, as he could cover central midfield and left-back for the Red Devils.
Losing out on Tonali to Madrid would be a blow, but if it results in Camavinga joining United then it may well be a masterstroke by Ineos.
