Report: The Friedkins now considering Hill Dickinson Stadium statues for two Everton legends

Everton are now planning to honour two of their legends with statues at the Hill Dickinson Stadium now being considered.

Legendary player/manager Howard Kendall and goalscoring master Dixie Dean are both under consideration by those at Everton as individuals who should be recognised.

The Hill Dickinson Stadium is starting to feel more and more like home as the results continue to improve.

However, recognising the club’s famous history by commemorating the likes of Kendall and Dean would be another big leap forward for the new stadium.

Everton considering Hill Dickinson Stadium statues for two legends

Just a matter of weeks ago, Jamie Carragher claimed Neville Southall deserved an Everton statue outside of their new stadium.

Although that remains a possibility, the Daily Mail report that it is Kendall and Dean who are currently under consideration.

Surely it’s high time for a Neville Southall statue to be erected at the Hill Dickinson Stadium?

Jamie Carragher, who ranked Southall 8th in his top 10 list of PL goalkeepers, reckons so… 🗿

Dean remains Everton’s top goalscorer having netted over 300 goals for the Toffees during his time on Merseyside.

Martin Keown hailed his time under Kendall at Everton, as admitted the boss gave him his full trust despite his chronic injury issues.

In leaving Goodison Park last summer, Everton left behind the Trinity statue, which recognised Kendall, Alan Ball and Colin Harvey.

A considerable chunk of the club’s history has been left behind in L4 as they look to create their own on the Liverpool docks.

However, The Friedkin Group are still looking to make some finishing touches at the new ground to make it feel like home.
