Manchester United and Leeds United will face off in a historic pre-season friendly at Croke Park on Wednesday, August 12th, with a 19:30 kick-off confirmed.
The fixture will mark the first time the two teams face off in Ireland, and is set to be one of the more intriguing events of the Irish summer.
It also represents a significant moment for the GAA and Croke Park, with the game set to be the first football match at the venue since the Republic of Ireland’s World Cup play-off against France back in 2009.

Tickets will be released in phases, with pre-sale access opening today (April 2nd) for Croke Park Premium and Suite members, as well as Manchester United and Leeds United season ticket holders and members.
General sale will begin at 10am on April 10th via Ticketmaster, with prices starting from €50 for adults and €25 for under-16s (excluding booking fees). Fans can also register their interest here from today to improve their chances of securing tickets.
Croke Park Stadium Director Peter McKenna described the fixture as a major occasion.

The announcement comes shortly after Michael Carrick's Manchester United also confirmed plans for a short training camp in Ireland from April 6th to 9th.
But it is Wednesday August 12th 2026 that will grab most of the attention, when one of English football’s biggest rivalries takes centre stage at GAA HQ.
