Inter Milan are believed to have been offered the opportunity to sign right-back Denzel Dumfries this summer, according to an update from journalist Graeme Bailey.
Reds supporters are craving new signings ahead of next season, following a sobering campaign that has seen them lose 10 Premier League games, heaping the pressure on Arne Slot.
Right-back has been an issue for many months, with Jeremie Frimpong still finding his feet after joining from Bayer Leverkusen, not helped by a string of injury setbacks.
Meanwhile, Conor Bradley is a long-term absentee with a serious knee problem suffered away to Arsenal at the beginning of the year, meaning the likes of Joe Gomez and Dominik Szoboszlai have had to fill in at right-back.
According to TEAMtalk‘s Bailey, Liverpool have been “contacted” by Inter regarding the availability of Netherlands wing-back Dumfries, as they look to offer him to other clubs in the summer transfer window.
The report adds that Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have “also been spoken to” regarding the 29-year-old, whose current deal expires at the end of the 2027/28 season.

Dumfries has been a proven top-level player for many years now, reaching two Champions League finals with Inter and likely starting for the Netherlands at the upcoming World Cup.
Capable of playing at both right-back and wing-back, like Frimpong, he offers so much attacking quality, being lauded by Micah Richards in the past:
“I thought Inter were outstanding, it could have been five. I thought Dumfries was excellent. His work rate down that right-hand side. Up and down. Up and down. Decision-making. Defend when you need to. Attack when you needed to.”
Dumfries is on the verge of turning 30, however, so it is hard to see Liverpool signing him, considering he would only be a short-term fix, and because plenty of money has already been spent on Frimpong to be the solution there.
The Reds need to be savvy in their approach this summer, bringing in players at the right age, and Dumfries doesn’t fall into that category, despite his quality.
