Leeds United team news for Sunday’s return to action in the FA Cup quarter-finals at West Ham.

Whites boss Daniel Farke has provided his Leeds United team news for Sunday’s return to action in the FA Cup quarter-finals at West Ham.

Farke has revealed that striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a doubt due to a hamstring issue but midfielder Anton Stach is expected to be fine after a hip injury.

Winger Noah Okafor’s return from a hamstring injury left Farke with a fully fit squad for the home clash against Brentford for which left back Gabriel Gudmundsson was the sole absentee due to suspension.

Gudmundsson served a one-match ban for his dismissal for a second yellow card in the goalless draw at Crystal Palace and was then one of a dozen Leeds players to head out on international duty.

Gudmundsson suffered a bang to his knee in last Thursday’s World Cup qualifying play-offs semi-final against Ukraine which led to him being substituted but declared himself fine post-match and then played the full duration of Tuesday’s play-offs final victory against Poland.

Slight injury concerns surrounded two more of United’s internationals in Okafor and Dan James for Switzerland and Wales respectively.

Okafor was an unused substitute for Friday’s international friendly against Germany, after which there were reports that he had suffered a knock in the warm-up.

Okafor was then not involved for Tuesday’s second friendly against Norway.

James, meanwhile, who has recently returned from a hamstring tendon injury, scored and played 84 minutes of Thursday’s heart-breaking World Cup qualifier defeat to Bosnia on penalties.

Boss Craig Bellamy later revealed that he wanted James to play the full 120 minutes but that it was not possible due to the winger cramping and that his condition was being checked.

James then dropped to the bench for Tuesday’s friendly against Northern Ireland but was brought on for the second half of the 1-1 draw and played 45 minutes.

Another key Leeds player in striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin made his England return with second-half minutes in Friday’s friendly against Uruguay but the Whites no 9 was then one of eight players to leave the camp ahead of Tuesday’s friendly against Japan.

The YEP understands though that his departure was pre-planned as boss Thomas Tuchel trimmed down his squad.

Providing his team news, Farke said: “Since today everyone is back, the first time we will have everyone is tomorrow. A few minor issues and little knocks. We will take some late decisions.

“Anton Stach was struggling with some hip problems and not in training bit today back in training.

“Dominic had problems in his hamstrings so question marks over him for Sunday.”
