The door has been slammed shut and locked with regards to West Ham United’s interest in Bayern Munich youngster Noel Aseko.
The Hammers were credited with an interest in the Hannover loanee, per German site Transfermarkt.
Only 20, the Berlin-born Noel Aseko was enjoying a fine season in Bundesliga.2, proving himself to be one of the most exciting homegrown talents of the current generation.

Aseko, who idolises Chelsea icon N’Golo Kante, was making a massive impression at the base of Hannover’s midfield, while also finding the time to score three goals and assist five more.
Bayern Munich triggered a clause in Aseko’s contract last month, however, denying Hannover the chance to make his loan deal permanent.

Now, sporting director Christoph Freund has ended West Ham United’s already-fading hopes by confirming that the Germany Under-21 international will be part of Bayern’s first team squad for 2026/27.
“The final squad planning in midfield won’t happen until May or June, but it’s great that we also have young, interesting players from our own ranks.” Freund told Der Westen.

“Noel is doing really well. He brings a quality to the team that is very interesting for us.”
Reports indicate that Aseko could replace the long-serving Leon Goretzka, who has been heavily linked with Juventus as his contract runs down.
Aseko is off the cards, then, with West Ham needing to look elsewhere as they aim to beef up their midfield with an up-and-coming talent.
Evertton Araujo of Flamengo has been linked, while a £7 million bid was reportedly launched for Alpha Toure of FC Metz during the January window.

In the meantime, Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final with Leeds may offer a chance for the aforementioned N’Golo Kante’s namesake to establish himself further into Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans.
