Manchester United vs Leeds United at Croke Park: How to get tickets, date and kick-off time

Manchester United and Leeds United will face each other in Dublin this summer.

The two Premier League giants have been confirmed for a glamour friendly at Croke Park.

It will mark the first soccer fixture at GAA headquarters since November 2009, when the Republic of Ireland faced France in a FIFA World Cup play-off in front of 79,000 fans.

When and where is the game?

Manchester United will take on Leeds United in a summer friendly at Croke Park in Dublin on Wednesday, August 12.

What time is kick-off?

The game is scheduled to kick off at 7.30pm.

How can I get tickets?

Tickets are being released on a phased basis, starting with a pre-sale today (Thursday, April 2) which is open to Croke Park Premium and Suite members and to Manchester United and Leeds United season ticket holders and members.

All other fans can register their interest for general sale from Thursday, April 2.

General sale will open at 10am on Friday, April 10 via Ticketmaster.

How much will tickets cost?

Tickets start from €50 for an Adult and €25 for U16s, plus booking fees.

Welcome return for Manchester United

The announcement comes ahead of Manchester United’s trip to Kildare for a training camp from April 6 to 9, with their visit to Carton House hampering Armagh’s preparations for the opening round of the Ulster Championship.

What has been said?

Manchester United director of football Jason Wilcox said: “We’re excited to be heading to Dublin to face Leeds United as part of our pre-season preparations ahead of a big campaign.

Leeds United Chief Business Officer Morrie Eisenberg said: “We are excited at the prospect of returning to Dublin again this summer, our support in Ireland is huge which was demonstrated last year.

“Croke Park is one of the most historic venues in the world and we are looking forward to renewing our rivalry with Manchester United in what will be the first football match at the stadium since 2009, which will also serve as important preparation for the campaign ahead.”
