As exclusively revealed by the Irish Independent on Tuesday, the game has been scheduled for Wednesday August 12, with a 7.30pm kick-off.
The match marks the first game of association club football at Croke Park, and will be the first football fixture at the venue since November 2009, when Ireland faced France in a World Cup play-off in front of 79,000 fans.
In addition to the August fixture, Manchester United’s men’s first team will also travel to Dublin for a training camp from April 6-9 as the squad continues its push to finish the season as strongly as possible.

How can I get tickets?
Pre-sale tickets will be available from today to Croke Park Premium and Suite members and to Manchester United and Leeds United season ticket holders and members.
All other fans can register their interest for general sale from today (April 2).
Tickets will go on general sale through Ticketmaster at 10am on April 10.
How much will tickets cost?
Ticket prices start from €50 for an Adult and €25 for under-16s, plus booking fees.

“Croke Park is one of the most historic venues in the world and we are looking forward to renewing our rivalry with Manchester United in what will be the first football match at the stadium since 2009, which will also serve as important preparation for the campaign ahead.”

So what’s the caveat?
Should Leeds either win the FA Cup or get relegated the game will not go ahead due to the fact the Community Shield and the opening matches of the EFL Championship season are the following weekend. A statement on the Leeds website read: *Please note, this fixture is subject to Leeds United retaining Premier League status. This fixture is also subject to the club not participating in the 2026 FA Community Shield. The club will not offer refunds on travel expenses in the event of relegation or participation in the 2026 FA Community Shield. The ticket operator will offer refunds on tickets sold for the match.”
