Going back to an article written by The Athletic in 2019, it is claimed that Rastrick took Parrott under his wing at Hotspur Way.
It is believed that Fulham are leading Everton in pursuit of Parrott ahead of the summer.
The reality is the Ireland international has a lot of interested suitors including the likes of AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund.
However, his long-standing relationship with Rastrick could offer the Toffees some fresh hope of landing the in-demand striker.
Parrott has netted 34 goals for club and country this season, which puts Beto and Thierno Barry’s returns into perspective on Merseyside.
Seamus Coleman has already hailed Parrott, with Everton’s strong Irish core also potentially offering another boost.
Like a lot of Everton’s transfer hopes, landing European qualification could be key for the Blues in landing Parrott.
