Lorenzo Pellegrini’s contract situation at AS Roma continues to be uncertain, attracting Newcastle United and others. There have been some developments which can help a Magpies transfer for the midfielder.

That is perhaps why Lorenzo Pellegrini’s entourage is keen on demanding lesser wages than last summer. It is one way of keeping options open and inviting suitors, while also keeping Roma on their toes.
There is every chance Newcastle United could be getting used here. Eddie Howe’s side may lose Tonali but Pellegrini is older and isn’t a deeper midfielder. He has always thrived in attacking areas and he has had multiple fitness issues in the last few months.
