West Ham United manager Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that Crysencio Summerville is a doubt for Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final against Leeds.
The winger has missed West Ham United’s last two Premier League games after suffering a calf injury against Brentford in the FA Cup last month.
Summerville is a hugely important player for the club and it would not be hyperbolic to suggest that their Premier League survival rests upon his fitness.

After the Leeds game, West Ham host Wolves next week in a huge game at the bottom of the Premier League table.
If Nuno’s side beat Wolves, they will overtake Tottenham and move out of the relegation zone for the first time in months.
West Ham still assessing Summerville’s fitness
Speaking in his pre-match press conference before the Leeds game, Nuno said: “We’re all trying to get him [fit] as soon as possible. Assessing day by day, to see how he improves.”
When asked if playing Summerville against Leeds would be a risk, Nuno said: “First, we have to assess. If it’s good, if he feels good, we are not in that point yet. Still one day to go and then we take decisions.”

The 24-year-old has scored five goals while registering three assists this season and has proven to be one of the most effective forwards in the Premier League in 2026.
West Ham were hopeful that Summerville’s injury was not serious, but the club did not want to give much away when asked by Hammers News earlier this week.
