At the start of the season, Leeds United fans were very critical of the job Daniel Farke had done so far. The German was having a mixed season, and the fanbase were disappointed with the early results.

Despite getting a solid home form to start the campaign, the team suffered to get any results near the midpoint of the season. Player selection and tactics seemed to be holding the team back, despite the Whites spending over £100 million on quality players during the summer.

So when the team shifted to a different system, the results changed. Leeds went on a strong run to end the year, and this is what gave them the advantage in January. But over the last few weeks, things have looked flat in games, and the fans are seriously concerned.

Nuno Espirito makes concerning comment about Leeds United

Leeds United are not playing in the Premier League this weekend, but will rather face West Ham in the FA Cup. The two teams have a unique chance to reach the semifinal of the domestic cup competition despite neither having a great season. The Whites won the last game between the two, a slim victory in front of the home crowd at Elland Road.

Nuno Espirito Santo has had some bold comments ahead of Sunday, saying Wes Ham know what to expect from Leeds: “A tough opponent, quality players, they play well, we know what to expect, so we have to be switched on to compete well.”

The Hammers will be the better of the two sides, having lost just two of their last nine games in all competitions. Leeds on the other hand, will be hoping to get their first win since beating Norwich in the FA Cup fifth round.

Leeds are getting predictable

Daniel Farke should be very worried about Nuno Espirito Santo’s comments heading into the game. Leeds have played some very predictable football over the past few weeks. And in games where they cannot break down the opponent, they get stuck. Their last match against Brentford was an eyesore, as the team looked for solutions without threatening the visitors. It was a similar story against Sunderland, and Crystal Palace. The Whites have a serious problem in front of goal that they will have to address before the end of the season.
