The latest transfer talk from Newcastle United as two Magpies stars are linked with a move to a Premier League rival.
Manchester United have been told to snub moves for Newcastle United duo Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes as they look to boost their midfield options during the summer transfer window.
Tonali’s agent, Beppe Riso, fanned the flames of speculation recently as he told Italian media: “Newcastle are already a Champions League club, but now it’s said that Tonali is being targeted by top clubs, those aiming to win the Premier League, such as Arsenal or Manchester City. That was the aim from the moment he went to England - to try and turn him into a star player. I think he’s the Italian player with one of the highest values in the world. “I don’t know (whether he will join Man City or Arsenal). But it’s very likely. Everyone is waiting for the World Cup; then a thousand scenarios will unfold, but it all kicks off after the World Cup.”
The likes of Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked with a move for the midfielder - but Manchester United were also suggested as a possible destination for Tonali as they look to build on what has been a solid second half of the season under interim manager Michael Carrick. The 13-time Premier League champions were also linked with Magpies captain Bruno Guimaraes recently - although one Red Devils legend has suggested it is a former Newcastle player, rather than a current member of Howe’s squad, that his old club should move for during the summer.
Big talent

As per Football365, former England defender Rio Ferdinand said: “Beginning of the season everyone was talking about [Carlos] Baleba, he seems to have gone off the boil a little bit form wise. Elliot Anderson, he seems to have jumped to the front of the queue. I think he’s a wonderful player. I think Elliot Anderson is the right type not only of player but character, I thin he’d be a good addition to the squad.
“Tonali is a big talent that everyone is talking about, Guimaraes is another big talent that everyone is talking about. But I just think the type of midfielder United need is somebody who is a bit more all-action, who can cover ground, who is dynamic, who is robust, strong, who can drive a team. Right now Anderson seems to be ticking those boxes. But I think there are a few other young guns out there who I won’t mention their names yet because I don’t want anyone else to get on that scent.”
