Arne Slot revealed on Friday that Alisson will miss Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-final at Manchester City and a Champions League clashes with Paris Saint-Germain.
He forecast that the Reds’ first-choice goalkeeper would be ruled out until ‘towards the end of the season’, leading to fears that he would be absent for their run-in.
However Alisson dismissed concerns around a potential injury setback on social media and insisted that he is closing in on a comeback in time for the end of April.
“I didn’t suffer a new injury,” he wrote on X.
“I’m in the treatment phase, and the plan is to be in full playing condition by the end of April!”
In addition to the City showdown and clashes with PSG, Alisson will miss the Merseyside derby with Everton and encounters with Fulham and Crystal Palace.
