Everton midfielder James Garner has admitted he upset Adidas earlier this season at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The 25-year-old Everton star has been in exceptional form this season, which has earned him an England call-up.

However, Garner has admitted he left Adidas unhappy earlier this season by wearing a pair of retro boots in the Hill Dickinson opener.

On the back of his England debut, Garner has spoken to Toffee TV about how his opening goal of the season left his boot supplier, Adidas, unhappy.

“Toni Kroos’ [Adidas 11 Pro] boot, I wore them at the start of the season. The goal I scored against Brighton, I was wearing his exact boot,” said Garner.
“They are very rare to come by, not his exact boot, but the same colourway: white and light blue.

“So yeah, I wore them at the start of the season. They’re really comfortable, but my Adidas representative wasn’t happy about it. He wanted me back in the F50s.”
Garner has only scored two goals this season, with his other coming in the away victory over Nottingham Forest.
David Moyes has been praised by Garner for his upturn in form this season, which has seen the midfielder provide three assists in the last four games.
Whatever the 62-year-old has told Garner has certainly worked and long may it continue in an Everton shirt.
