Liverpool are one of the clubs reportedly pushing to sign Palmeiras talent Eduardo Conceicao.
The Reds have often been reluctant to do business for the hottest prospects in South America, but have appeared willing to change that stance in recent years.
Conceicao is the latest to be linked, with Brazilian outlet RTI Esporte now claiming that contact has been made between Liverpool and the 16-year-old’s agents.

Liverpool join the battle for Conceicao
As they look to replace Mohamed Salah this summer, Liverpool have been linked with a move for Francisco Conceicao of Juventus.
Now, as per RTI, the Reds are interested in striking a deal for the Portuguese’s namesake from the Palmeiras youth team.
Said to be one of the most valuable youngsters within the club’s renowned academy, Palmeiras are said to have turned down an offer of around £22m for Conceicao from Newcastle.
Instead, after reported discussions with the teenager’s representatives, the Sao Paulo-based side are willing to let him go only if a bid of £35m arrives.

Liverpool are claimed to have recently been in touch with Conceicao’s agents to register their interest, but must join a queue also containing the City Group as well as Newcastle and Barcelona.
Palmeiras are reportedly in no rush to let Conceicao leave, and are willing to give him opportunities in the first-team before deciding upon the right path in Europe.
If past behaviour is anything to go by, then it would be a surprise to see Liverpool pursue a deal at this stage.
However, Conceicao should certainly be a name for fans to keep an eye out for in the coming years as he aims to make his name in Brazil.
