Brendan Rodgers has refused to entertain any talk that he could be named as head coach of the Saudi Arabia national team for the World Cup.
The Arab nation are on the hunt for a new boss after sacking veteran French manager Herve Renard, following shock friendly losses to Serbia and Egypt during the March international break.
Ex Celtic gaffer Rodgers has emerged as a leading candidate for the job after making a flying start in the Saudi Pro League. The Irishman has led Al-Qadsiah to 13 wins and four draws in 17 matches, firing his side into title contention.
And while the former Liverpool boss is fully focussed on his current role, he has refused to rule out succeeding Renard for the globe's biggest sporting event this summer.
He said: "I have no comment on this matter. I am committed to my contract and working with Al-Qadisiyah and I look forward to giving my all in the coming period
"I believe that the Saudi national team is capable of delivering a strong tournament.
"They have a distinguished group of players along with highly experienced coaching staff, which gives me great confidence in their ability to perform admirably and deliver outstanding performances during the World Cup competition."
Saudi Arabia have been drawn in Group H at the World Cup, alongside Spain, Uruguay and tournament newcomers Cape Verde.
