West Ham & Leeds United final FA Cup injury news as updates leave 1 out, 6 doubts, 2 back:…

Final injury news has been provided for Leeds United’s FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham - for which updates have left one man out and six others doubtful but with two men back.

The Whites and Hammers will return from two weeks off with Sunday’s huge last eight clash at the London Stadium, from which the winners will be off to Wembley for an FA Cup semi-final.

The two clubs had 22 players between them on senior international duty during the March international break which produced fresh injury concerns for both sides.

Boss Daniel Farke then held his pre-match press conference on Thursday afternoon, at which he revealed it was very much a waiting game regards the condition of a key man.

His opposite West Ham number Nuno Espirito Santo then held his pre-match press conference on Friday, at which he too was asked about the injury latest with a star player.

Following the final updates from both camps, here we run through the final injury and team news which now has seven players doubtful or out but two others back.

Starting with the positives and a huge one on the Leeds front with star left back Gudmundsson now back from suspension and also shacking off a knock to his knee in last Thursday's World Cup qualifier victory against Ukraine in which he was taken off with 13 minutes left. The defender said post-match that it was just a case of looking after his body and Gudmundsson then played the full duration of Tuesday's massive play-off final victory against Poland as he and his country booked their place at the World Cup.

West Ham's England youth international full-back Scarles fractured his collarbone in October's 2-1 defeat at Elland Road. Scarles was back in action by December but then suffered a knock in the FA Cup fifth round clash against Brentford which saw him miss the subsequent Premier League clash against Manchester City. Scarles, though, returned for the game at Aston Villa before the international break for which he was an unused substitute.

Hammers centre-back Todibo suffered a calf injury in the warm-up ahead of the Premier League clash at Aston Villa before the international break and consequently missed out. The only real update provided by boss Nuno Espirito Santo at Friday's pre-match press conference was that his injured players were being assessed.

A huge one either way, not just for Sunday's contest but also in the battle for Premier League survival and it remains a wait and see. West Ham's former Whites star Summerville suffered a calf injury in the fifth round victory against Brentford and missed both West Ham's next two games and March's internationals for the Netherlands. There were then reports that Summerville would be back after the international break and there still appears a chance of that. Speaking on Friday, Santo said of Summerville: “Trying, all of us trying to get him as soon as possible, assessing day by day, see how he improves.”

Pressed on whether it would be too much of a risk to play him on Sunday, Santo reasoned: “First we have to assess, if it’s good, if he feels good, we are not in that point yet so still one day to go and then we take decisions.”

A new blow for the Irons during the international break and a highly significant one given the excellent form of Greek international centre-back Mavropanos. The 28-year-old suffered a head injury in Friday's 1-0 defeat against Paraguay in which he has then taken off with seven minutes left. Reports in the Greek media claim that Mavropanos will now play no part in Tuesday's game against Hungary in Budapest. Clear doubts then as to whether he will be available to face Leeds given the injury and concussion protocols.

A hard one to weigh up, Whites winger Okafor returning from his five-game absence due to a hamstring injury as a second-half substitute in the goalless draw at home to Brentford before the international break. The winger then departed on international duty after getting a Switzerland recall although Okafor did not feature and there were reports of him suffering a minor issue in training. But there was no mention of any injury to Okafor from Farke at his pre-match presser, other than reports of a few minor issues and little knocks for the squad generally which, as Farke said himself, is par for the course. Okafor himself said on social media: "Of course, I would have liked to play too, but so soon after my injury, we decided together not to take any risks." A slight doubt then.

6. SLIGHT DOUBT: Noah Okafor
