Rangers are keeping close tabs on Hull City star Joe Gelhardt ahead of the summer, journalist Alan Nixon has revealed.
The Ibrox side are looking to inject fresh talent into Danny Rohl’s squad after the season and have identified the 23-year-old as a potential addition up front.
Gelhardt has enjoyed an impressive Championship campaign at the MKM Stadium, scoring 13 goals and providing four assists in 33 appearances.
The Liverpool-born striker is on loan at Hull from Leeds United, where he is under contract until the summer of 2027.

According to Nixon, Rangers have been closely monitoring Gelhardt amid his impressive Championship campaign and could be well-placed to secure his signing after the season.
There is a sense that a loan move or even a permanent deal could be arranged, given the obvious link between Leeds and Rangers through their shared 49ers ownership.
Hull would like to keep Gelhardt for another season, but any potential loan return could depend on whether they are able to secure promotion to the Premier League.
Sergej Jakirovic’s side sit fifth in the Championship standings with six games remaining, five points off the top two.
Gelhardt first joined Hull on loan in January 2025 and registered five goals in 20 Championship appearances during the 2024/25 campaign.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season at the MKM Stadium this term, ranking joint-fourth among Championship top scorers, behind only Swansea’s Zan Viptonik, Coventry’s Haji Wright, and Ipswich’s Jack Clarke.
