Used to being a reliable figure on the football pitch, Gary Neville has since become the main man in the world of business. The Manchester United icon won 17 major honours at his boyhood club, including eight Premier League titles and two Champions League trophies.
After calling time on his football career in 2011 following 602 games for the Red Devils across 19 years, the 51-year-old has remained a regular on TV screens through his punditry and commentary work on Sky Sports.
His venture into the business world through real estate investment, hotel and football club ownership has resulted in Neville's status as an entrepreneurial giant. His journey into the podcast sphere has been an immensely fruitful one too, with the ex-England defender banking millions.
What is Gary Neville's net worth?
When it comes to where football fans are most likely to see Neville these days, it's his hosting of popular YouTube channel The Overlap that probably takes top spot. His podcast empire - sparked by his Buzz 16 Productions company - has resulted in a staggering turnover of £1m a month.
The company last year reported revenue of £11.6m, led by the huge success of the Stick to Football podcast, which Neville appears on alongside fellow former pros Roy Keane, Jamie Carragher, Ian Wright and Jill Scott.
Their 2025 gross profits sat at over £2.1m with Buzz paying out £4.6m in wages and pension contributions. Previously revealing his biggest contract during his playing days was £1.75m a year, Neville's earning power post-football has skyrocketed, with Finance Monthly estimating his net worth to be between £70-£100m.
Who is Gary Neville's wife?
Not one for the spotlight, Emma Neville first met the Red Devils icon on a night out in 2004 before marrying him three years later. The pair have two daughters, Mollie and Sophie, and continue to reside in the Manchester area.

The couple shared the screen last year on Stick to Football when Emma made a rare appearance on the show as she opened up about how they first met. She revealed: "I'd gone to the game that day. At Walkabout in Manchester they have big screens and I'd been with my friend that day, went and watched it.
"It’s a shock to your system really – I was 23 then and a lot younger. It is a different world, but Gary was really grounded, and his family were also very grounded. Our social time was us going for meals and it wasn’t really like anything else."
Where does Gary Neville live?
Given his environmentally friendly stance, Neville previously chalked up plans for a carbon-neutral mansion to built for him and his family to live in. The vision - which involved being built on land off Harry Fold Farm in Greater Manchester - was branded the Teletubbies house due to its futuristic look.

The £8m property was set to have a petal-shaped design to be built beneath the earth with a solar-panelled roof. Despite his insistence on pushing through the plan, there were people in the area not particularly keen on it.
Regardless of the rows with neighbours, Neville earned planning permission for the five-bedroom home, which was estimated to cost £8million. But construction on the property never got started.
The land remained empty for numerous years before building work was officially abandoned in 2017. Including his eco-friendly plans when putting the land on the market for £650,000 in 2020, the former footballer was forced to lower his asking price to £500,000.
Despite hopes for his dream home being dashed away, Neville is certainly living it up in his current home that's on the street dubbed Manchester’s millionaires’ row. Living in one of the four townhouses he bought in 2021, the pundit's abode features four bedrooms, four reception rooms, an outdoor terrace that includes a retractable roof and a double garage.
