A batch of fresh West Ham United Women players have received international call-ups following recent performances for club and country.

Riko Ueki starred for Japan while winning the AFC Women’s Asian Cup and claiming the Golden Boot with six goals, helping her nation qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

She has now joined up with Japan for two upcoming friendlies against the United States women’s national soccer team.

Ffion Morgan has been called up by Wales women’s national football team for two World Cup qualifiers against Albania. Wales currently sit top of their qualifying group and will look to strengthen their position in the race to reach the 2027 tournament.

Meanwhile, Verena Hanshaw has joined Austria women’s national football team for their qualifiers, where they face a tough double-header against group leaders Germany women’s national football team as they aim to keep their qualification hopes alive.

Overall, several West Ham players are involved in international fixtures, contributing to their nations’ campaigns to qualify for the 2027 Women’s World Cup.
