Speaking live on Sky Sports, journalist Burt has shared what he's hearing on Slot's future at Liverpool after their defeat against Manchester City at the weekend. The reliable reporter believes that the Reds are likely to stick with the manager, but it could be an interesting summer for Liverpool.
"There are an awful lot of mitigating circumstances around that(the season). It's been a difficult season… but I think they'll look at it very forensically and think we haven't achieved and we're not quite sure we can carry on like this. Liverpool are saying the opposite at the moment, they're saying they fully back the manager, but the fact is, it's been made very clear they've got to qualify for the Champions League."
Burt suggests that we are 'heading for a change' at Anfield in the summer, whether that be in the dugout, boardroom, or on the pitch.
"That makes me think, we're heading for a change of sorts. It could be at the top of the club or in the dugout and on the pitch as well there will be a lot of change. There's an awful lot in play at the moment for Liverpool and I think Slot's under a lot of pressure and he has to qualify for the Champions League."
