Strong Leeds United team for FA Cup quarter-final v West Ham as stars return but key defender…

Leeds United team news for today’s FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham is in.

Whites boss Daniel Farke has named a strong Leeds United team for this afternoon’s FA Cup quarter-final at the London Stadium against West Ham although a star is missing.

Farke revealed at Thursday’s pre-match press conference that striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin was a doubt for the contest having experienced a hamstring problem on his return to training from England duty in midweek.

Calvert-Lewin felt a problem towards the end of training on Wednesday and missed training the following day as he was then sent for a scan on the issue as a precaution.

Farke was hopeful that the injury was only a minor problem but admitted he could not be sure if Calvert-Lewin would be available for today’s FA Cup quarter-final.

German international midfielder Anton Stach also initially missed training this week due to a hip problem but Stach then returned to training on Thursday and Farke was expecting him to be available for selection.

Left back Gabi Gudmundsson is now back available having served a one-match ban for the Premier League hosting of Brentford in the final game before the international break due to his sending off for a second yellow card in the goalless draw at Crystal Palace.

Gudmundsson was one of a dozen Leeds players away on senior international duty during the March international break but Farke reported no other injuries on Thursday aside from the normal minor issues and knocks.

Leeds United v West Ham: Perri; Bogle, Rodon, Bijol, Struijk, Justin; Ampadu, Stach, Tanaka; Okafor, Nmecha. Subs: Darlow, Byram, Bornauw, Longstaff, Gruev, Aaronson, Gnonto, Piroe, Calvert-Lewin.
