Liverpool are reportedly gearing up to sign Atalanta full-back Marco Palestra in response to their right-back struggles.
The Reds have failed to effectively replace Trent Alexander-Arnold this season, with injuries and underwhelming form preventing both Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley from nailing down the position.
A change may be needed in the summer, and according to Caught Offside, Palestra is very much a player in Liverpool‘s thinking.

Liverpool the most likely destination for Palestra
Palestra has been impressive in Serie A this season while on loan at Cagliari, forcing his way into the Italian national team, for whom he played both games as they lost in the World Cup play-offs earlier this week.
This has led to interest from around Europe, with Caught Offside claiming that Liverpool, Inter Milan, Juventus and Tottenham are in the mix to sign the 21-year-old.
Inter are even said to be preparing a bid, however the Italian league leaders are rumoured to have only £30.5m to spend on Palestra, which may not be enough.

Instead, the Premier League – and more specifically Liverpool – is said to be a more likely destination for the right-back.
Liverpool are claimed to be ‘the strongest candidate’ both in terms of financial capability and sporting strength.
With the Reds reportedly making ‘serious preparations’ to launch a bid for Palestra, they appear well-placed to force a move through.
If a transfer does go ahead, it is expected that the Italy international would cost around £39m.
