The Brazilian international could earn £500,000-a-week in his last year of his deal, and Madrid have been locked in negotiations over a new contract for around 18 months, but they are yet to come to a conclusion.
Vinicius' contract is set to expire in 2027, leaving Madrid with a decision to make later this year, and that could open the door for Liverpool to make a move.
A host of Premier League clubs have also been in talks for Vinicius, so it is likely to be a competitive race to secure his signature if Madrid do decide to cash in during the summer transfer window.
It would be one of the stories of the summer if Vinicius does move, and Liverpool will likely want to be at the front of the queue if he's available.
Vinicius Can Be Salah Replacement
