Leeds United made it through to the semi-finals of the FA Cup with a dramatic win on penalties against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday.
Goals from Ao Tanaka and Dominic Calvert-Lewin either side of half time appeared to have the Whites on course for a relatively comfortable passage to Wembley, but that was not to be.
Mateus Fernandes and Axel Disasi scored in the 93rd and 96th minutes of added time to pull the score level and send the game to extra time for the hosts.

The Hammers then had two goals disallowed for offside in the first half of extra-time, but both sides failed to find a winner before the match went to penalties.
Jarrod Bowen and Pablo both missed from the spot for West Ham and it was down to Pascal Struijk to send the team to Wembley, which he did.
How Lucas Perri has revived his Leeds career
It is fair to say that this season has not gone to play for Lucas Perri. He was signed from Lyon for £13.9m last summer to be the new number one at Elland Road, making him the club's most expensive ever goalkeeper signing.

However, his struggles in the Premier League have led to Karl Darlow taking his spot as the first-choice for the last ten matches in the top-flight, leaving the Brazilian star's future up in the air.

His performance against West Ham in the FA Cup, though, may have just revived his career at Elland Road because he put on a masterclass, aside from the error for Taty Castellanos' offside goal, which was, ultimately, meaningless.
Perri made an unbelievable save from Castellanos early on in the first half before he went on to save penalties from Bowen and Pablo in the shootout.
Such was the quality of his performance, Daniel Farke has a real decision to make on who starts between him and Darlow in the Premier League, and there could be a real fight on to be the number one for next season.
Whilst Perri may have saved his career at the club with his outstanding performance, there was a Leeds player whose showing should send him closer to the exit door.
The first Leeds player who should be sold this summer
Farke and the club will have plenty of decisions to make on players in the summer, irrespective of the league they are in, and this flop may have made one of their decisions a little easier.
Joel Piroe came off the bench against the Hammers on Sunday and would have been the villain of the piece if not for Perri's heroics between the sticks.
The Suriname international's "shocking", as TNT's Ally McCoist put it, penalty was fairly easily saved by rookie West Ham goalkeeper Finlay Herrick, and he was the only Leeds player to miss in the shootout.

There was also a moment during extra time when Leeds had the chance to launch a counter-attack and Piroe stumbled forward before tripping over the ball and gifting possession back to the Hammers under little pressure.
The left-footed forward, who lost 100% (3/3) of his duels after coming off the bench, must be the first player sold by the Whites in the summer because he looks finished as a key starter for the club.

Appearances 13
Starts 2
Goals 0
Big chances created 0
Assists 0
Ground duel success rate 17%
Aerial duel success rate 19%
Not only did he amass just seven touches and complete only three passes during his time on the field, Piroe has not been good enough in the Premier League as an offensive threat for a long time now, offering no goals or assists, and he has been weak off the ball, losing the vast majority of his duels on the ground and in the air.
The only goal that the former Swansea forward has scored all season was the third goal in a 3-0 win over Championship side Norwich City in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Piroe's struggles against West Ham on Sunday just added to his overall form in the 2025/26 campaign, which is why he must be the first player sold when the summer window opens for business.
He has not adapted to the step up in quality since the Whites earned promotion from the Championship, and should leave in search of more regular game time elsewhere ahead of next season.
