The Friedkin Group will have to put their money where their mouth is at Everton if European football is secured.
David Moyes is having an excellent season with the Hill Dickinson outfit, putting them right among the battle for the top half of the table.
The Merseyside outfit are just three points off Champions League football, with rivals Liverpool holding that final position as it stands.
However, things could change quickly with the Blues the same distance from 11th.
If the European dream is secured, Everton’s summer window may shape up to be one of the most important in modern history.

Why Everton may need a big summer from the Friedkin Group
Everton’s squad is not deep by any stretch, and that is evidenced by Moyes utilising the same players week in, week out.
If the Blues are to qualify for Europe, their current setup is not sustainable, with the demands on the players likely to be too much.

Many may feel that it is too soon for the Toffees to make their way into European qualification, but in the Premier League, nothing is guaranteed.
You can as quickly qualify for Europe as you can face relegation, as seen by West Ham over the last few years.
The chance this season should not be missed, but if the Merseyside club makes its way into Europe, the ownership must also play its part.
Everton’s chances have now been boosted by the FA Cup draw as well.
Moyes will need quite the overhaul across his squad, and the Friedkins need to put their money where their mouth is.

What is Everton’s biggest area of weakness?
At the moment, the fullback position will certainly need investment. Moyes only seems to trust Vitalii Mykolenko as a natural wide defender, with Jake O’Brien, James Garner and Jarrad Branthwaite often deputising at right and left-back.
Additionally, Thierno Barry and Beto will likely need to be upgraded. Keeping hold of one of the two as a rotation option would be smart, though.
With Idrissa Gueye’s contract expiring, another defensive midfielder may be on the agenda. However, the Toffees do have the option to extend that deal for one year.
With many issues presenting this summer, they likely will activate it.

Another winger would also be ideal. Tyler Dibling has failed to impress, Tyrique George looks unlikely to stay, and uncertainty remains over the future of Jack Grealish.
It will remain to be seen if the Friedkin Group can help Moyes build a squad capable of fighting on the European and domestic fronts.
