Adama Traore is enjoying life at West Ham United – despite their battle against relegation.
Traore hasn’t enjoyed a lot of game time since joining West Ham United from Fulham in January, starting only four games.
Still, Traore’s best West Ham United performance came during their FA Cup defeat to Leeds, raising hope that he can offer something in the final seven games of the Premier League campaign.
What did you make of Adama Traore’s performance?
Has he won you over?
West Ham United's Spanish midfielder #17 Adama Traore (C) runs through the Leeds midfield during the English FA Cup quarter final football match between West Ham United and Leeds United at the London Stadium in east London on April 5, 2026.
Though Crysencio Summerville will almost certainly start when he is fit out on the left, Traore certainly looked like a capable deputy when playing against Leeds.
It remains to be seen how long the Spaniard stays at the club, but his latest comments suggest he’s loving his time here in east London.

Traore loves how passionate West Ham United fans are
Speaking to The Athletic after the Leeds game, Traore said: “I love the identity of the club and the fans who are passionate like me. I want to play and do well under a manager I know.”
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
Traore always believed he could prove to be a success at West Ham, with his style of play when at his best a thrilling thing to behold.
Clearly, it is still far too early to say that his signing has worked out. Performances like the one on Sunday, however, do suggest that there really is something to work with.

It would perhaps be fair to say that not too many West Ham fans were delighted with his signing in the first place.
Slowly but surely, however, Traore is starting to convince. If he can follow that up with some equally as impressive performances during the final few Premier League games of the season, then perhaps his signing will look an inspired addition after all.
It took a while for Traore to get up to speed in claret and blue and there is still a lot to prove. Still, things are now starting to look up and it will be fascinating to see if he can build on this.
