Bruno Guimaraes has not featured for Newcastle United since the 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Bruno Guimaraes has his boots back on and is aiming to salvage Newcastle United’s stuttering season.
Eddie Howe has been without his captain since the 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on February 10. In that time, the Magpies have been dumped out of the FA Cup, the Champions League and lost a bitter Tyne-Wear derby to Sunderland.
Guimaraes had been enjoying the finest goalscoring season of his career until the recent hamstring injury. Newcastle will hope the 28-year-old returning can inject some much-needed life into a campaign that is petering out - with European qualification now an uphill task.

Howe previously told reporters that he expects Guimaraes to return following the international break. A three-week hiatus allowed the skipper to fully recover but he rejoins a side desperately in need of a lift.
What Eddie Howe said about Bruno Guimaraes

“He has been working incredibly hard on his recovery. I'd like to think that, by the time the international break has ended, he will be back ready for us."
Guimaraes completed the first leg of his rehabilitation in Brazil but is back on Tyneside. His injury ruled him out of Carlo Ancelotti’s recent international squad but he is expected to feature at the World Cup this summer.
