Tyler Morton has admitted he is loving his football after leaving Liverpool to join Lyon in the summer. The Reds academy graduate left Anfield last summer and moved to the Ligue 1 side for £15million.
He has since become a key player for Paulo Fonseca, who has steered the club to sixth in the table. Alongside Corentin Tolisso, Morton has been integral for the French heavyweights.
In his one and only season playing under Arne Slot, Morton only made five appearances, with three of those coming in the League Cup. Now he is playing regular football across the Channel, Morton said he is enjoying every moment.

In an interview with the BBC, he said: "I was so hungry to play again and find my love for football again. It's really difficult when you don't play. It's so tough.
"You don't get to show everyone how good you are. I'd never been more hungry to play football in my life. As soon as Lyon came in, there was nothing else on my mind. It's a massive club and the support here is incredible.

"It was always going to be a big challenge moving away from home but that's what I wanted, and I felt ready. I wanted to show people I could be a leader and hopefully that's what I've done."
When asked about the work Fonseca has done with him, he added: "The manager has given me the reins to play my football and I'm loving it. There's no better position than number six, getting on the ball constantly, finding passes between the lines and using my brain to dictate games.

"Paulo Fonseca's an incredible manager. He's helped me so much. I've discovered things I didn't even know I had as a footballer."
Back in September, Morton also revealed an insight into the honest discussions he had with Slot before his move to France was sanctioned. The England U21s international said: "Jurgen Klopp was the best coach for my development. I think at that moment, I was ready to play.
"I’m not saying that no-one believed it, but I think I was ready, and Klopp thought so too. He gave me the opportunity to play on the biggest stage for a very big club. He believed in me, allowed me to go out on loan, to develop.

"With Arne Slot, I didn’t play as much as I wanted, even though I was ready. It was his decision, and I took it calmly, but I had to find another path. He was very open and very honest with me at the end of last season.
"We talked a lot, and he let me join OL (Lyon). It was the best decision. I will be eternally grateful to Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot, in different ways. They are excellent managers, but also great men.
"Jurgen just wanted the best for me, he made me play great games in the Champions League and the Premier League. It was a great time, he helped me improve at every level."
