Leeds United have been linked with potential signings ahead of the summer transfer window as plans are put into place for the end of the season.

The Whites have still not guaranteed their place in the Premier League next season, but are four points above the drop zone with Tottenham and Nottingham Forest below them in more danger.

Leeds will look to make life more comfortable when they travel to take on rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday, 13 April. They will go into the game on a high, having booked their place in the FA Cup semi-final with a penalty shootout win over West Ham on Sunday.

While they will be looking for success between now and the end of the season, plans for the new campaign will already be being made, with an eye on the upcoming transfer window.

With that in mind, here’s a look at two of the latest stories, with our own thoughts added...

Leeds eye former Spurs man

Leeds have identified former Tottenham striker Troy Parrott as a potential target in the summer transfer window, according to CaughtOffside.

The striker currently plays for AZ Alkmaar and has scored 14 goals in 24 Eredivisie appearances so far this season. He has also scored 14 goals in 18 games in other competitions, including the UEFA Conference League.

Parrott continues to be linked with a return to the Premier League, with Leeds the latest club said to be keeping an eye on him.

LeedsLive says: There’s no doubt that Parrott has proved that he knows where the net is. At 28, he is now in the prime of his career, and was the hero for Ireland as they made it to the World Cup play-offs.

Signing Parrott would provide good competition for both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha. It will push Joel Piroe further down the pecking order, with the striker likely to leave Elland Road this summer.

Transfer blow

Leeds United have been linked with a move for Derby County striker Patrick Agyemang, but any potential move could possibly be put on hold due to an injury.

The American has scored 10 times in 36 appearances in the Championship this season, but was forced off on a stretcher just before half time of the 2-0 win over Stoke City on Monday with what looked like an Achilles injury.

When asked how serious Agyemang's injury is, Derby boss John Eustace said: "We'll have to wait and see.

"Patrick's gone for a scan now, so I can't really comment on that until we know the results. Obviously, we don't want to see any player coming off the pitch on a stretcher, so that's not good."

LeedsLive says: Leeds may be keeping a close eye on any injury updates on the striker, but if it’s as bad as first feared, then it could lead to the Whites deciding not to make a move.

Leeds will want any summer signings fit and firing for the start of the new season. If the injury will keep Agyemang out for longer, then they may decide against a move.
